The Marshall Aerospace Test Facility is a purpose-built hangar
which houses both a full-scale C-130K Fuselage Fatigue Test Rig
together with a C-130J Wing Fatigue Test Rig. The test specimens
are subjected to forces applied by servo-hydraulic controlled
actuators, which are programmed to simulate actual loads experienced
during taxi, take-off and flight conditions.
An additional pressurisation system is also used in the case
of the Fuselage Fatigue test.
